Dwight Howard picked up his fifth technical foul of the postseason on Sunday night, tying him with Kobe Bryant for the league lead.

NBA rules indicate that players receive a one-game suspension after their seventh technical foul.

That leaves Howard and Bryant just two whistles away from missing a pivotal playoff game.

Nuggets forward Kenyon Martin has also been hit with five technicals, but his past three were rescinded by the league, putting him officially at two.

Bryant actually has been whistled for six technicals this postseason, but one of his violations was also rescinded.

After receiving his fifth in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals, Bryant said, "I won't get another one."
