Phil Jackson spoke to the media after the Lakers' Game 4 loss at Denver which tied their Western Conference Finals with the Nuggets at 2-2.

Jackson called the play by Dahntay Jones, in which he appeared to intentionally trip Kobe Bryant, "unacceptable defense" and "unsportsmanlike basketball."

Jackson thinks the Lakers may have been tired but doesn't believe that is an acceptable reason for not playing with energy.

"That's not a good excuse," said Jackson.

Jackson did express some satisfaction that the Lakers won back the homecourt advantage by taking game 3.

Game 5 is Wednesday night at Staples Center.
