Blazers owner Paul Allen was interviewed at the team's practice facility on Tuesday as potential draftees were worked out.

"You have to think very carefully about the tax," said Allen when asked about Portland's financial situation. "We have salary cap room this year, going up to that if we found the right player is something we would do."

Allen was also asked about his role on the night of the draft.

"I'm the guy that has to hold on to his wallet on draft day," said Allen. "I throw a few ideas out there and hopefully some of those make sense."
