The Pistons will not hire Avery Johnson as their next head coach after failing to agree to terms on Tuesday, sources told CBSSports.com

Detroit was unable to satisfy Johnson's salary requirements and will pursue Cleveland assistant John Kuester and Boston assistant Tom Thibodeau, according to the source.
