Mavericks forward Drew Gooden was scheduled to have an MRI on a muscle strain near his right rib cage Sunday.

Gooden suffered the injury in the fourth quarter Friday night when Lakers forward Josh Powell and he were battling for position.

He missed the team's victory over the Clippers on Saturday night.
