The Celtics moved to 4-0 with a win over the Hornets in Boston on Sunday. Chris Paul and Rajon Rondo received double technicals in the second quarter and the All-Star had to be held back from entering Boston's locker room after the game.

Even without Vince Carter, the Orlando Magic (3-0) were able to dispatch of the Toronto Raptors (1-2) on Sunday afternoon. Jameer Nelson led with 30 points and five assists, Dwight Howard posted 24 points and 11 rebounds and J.J Redick contributed 27 points, six boards and five assists in the win. Toronto shot 54% from the field, but Orlando grabbed 14 offensive rebounds, turned the ball over just nine times and made 17 three-pointers. Chris Bosh starred with 35 points and 16 rebounds, Andrea Bargnani tallied 26 points on 8-for-12 shooting and Hedo Turkoglu added 19 points and four assists in defeat.

The Boston Celtics (4-0) won a hotly contested game against the New Orleans Hornets (1-2) thanks to a strong fourth quarter. Paul Pierce had 27 points on 10-for-14 shooting, Kevin Garnett tallied 14 points, seven rebounds and five assists and Rajon Rondo put up six points and 10 assists for the Celtics. Boston shot 53% from the floor. The teams combined to attempt just 22 foul shots in the game. Chris Paul, who had to be restrained after the game as he tried to enter Boston’s locker room, had 22 points and eight assists. Peja Stojakovic, coming off the bench, scored 26 points on 9-for-15 shooting.

Dwyane Wade led with 25 points, Michael Beasley posted 10 points and 11 rebounds and Udonis Haslem contributed 19 points and 11 boards off the bench. Miami turned the ball over 18 times, but Chicago hit just 40% of their shots. Luol Deng starred with 26 points and eight rebounds, Joakim Noah tallied 10 points and seven boards and Brad Miller added 11 points and three rebounds in a reserve role.

The Portland Trail Blazers (2-2) used a strong second half to down the Oklahoma City Thunder (2-1) on the first night of November. Steve Blake scored a team-high 18 points on 6-for-9 shooting, Greg Oden tallied 12 points and 10 rebounds and Travis Outlaw put up 12 points and six rebounds off the bench. Portland shot 40% from the field, while holding Oklahoma City to 34% at the Ford Center. Russell Westbrook had 23 points before fouling out, Jeff Green posted 19 points and 11 rebounds and Kevin Durant scored 16 points on 3-for-22 shooting in the loss.

Chauncey Billups had 22 points and 10 assists, Chris Andersen posted 12 points and five rebounds and Nene tallied 18 points, nine boards and five dimes in the victory. Both teams shot better than 55% from the field, but Memphis turned the ball over 18 times. O.J. Mayo scored 40 points on 17-for-25 shooting, Marc Gasol tallied 20 points and 10 rebounds and Zach Randolph recorded 12 points, five boards and four assists.

Phoenix shot 50% and attempted 30 foul shots at home. Ryan Gomes starred with 23 points and 15 rebounds, Al Jefferson posted 21 points and eight boards and Corey Brewer put up 19 points and seven rebounds for the Wolves.

The Atlanta Hawks (2-1) made a late charge, but couldn’t complete a huge comeback against the Los Angeles Lakers (2-1). Kobe Bryant starred with 41 points and eight rebounds, Ron Artest posted 12 points and seven boards and Lamar Odom totaled 11 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists in the win. Los Angeles hit 52% of their shots and forced 20 turnovers. Joe Johnson led with 27 points and nine rebounds, Jamal Crawford scored 17 points on 6-for-14 shooting and Josh Smith contributed seven points, five boards and seven assists in the loss.
