Yahoo! Sports reports that Chris Paul was not in any way behind the dismissal of Byron Scott as head coach. Paul had "nothing to do with" the firing according to a source close to the team.

David West said that the team's gameplan had broken down under Scott.

"What we had wasn't working – the philosophy, the way we approached things just wasn't working," West said.

West said that the team had become "way too predictable" and implied that Scott's ego had gotten in the way of him making the necessary changes.
