The Dr. John Ogden performed a second procedure Aug. 17 and told the Hawks there is a 90 percent probability that Kukoc's ongoing problems have been solved. Blase explained that Ogden saw a 60 percent chance of success for longtime sufferers after one treatment. "Toni knew and we knew that there was a good chance he would need to have this again, so there's no real disappointment. There are other options open as well. We consulted with a number of specialists and we feel pretty good about things." The Atlanta-Constitution is comparing their scoring nucleus of Jason Terry, Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Toni Kukoc to the nucleus of the Milwaukee Bucks (Robinson, Allen and Cassell), who this year made it to the Eastern Conference Finals. Add in All-Star defensive specialist Theo Ratliff and some depth in DerMarr Johnson, Nazr Mohammed, and Dion Glover - plus two new point guards in Emanual Davis and Jacque Vaughn - and you have a very dangerous combination. How how good are they? They have many around the league scratching their heads, including Bucks guard Sam Cassell is still confident about his ballclub.
