Hawks Go More Than Quarter Without A Basket

The Hawks went nearly 13 1/2 minutes without a field goal in their loss to the Heat on Monday night.

Atlanta missed 13 consecutive shots and committed 10 turnovers during the equivalent of more than a quarter in the game's first half.

They had 27 points at halftime, the lowest total in franchise history.

Horford Travels With Hawks To Miami

Hawks' center Al Horford has made the trip to Miami with his teammates despite comments to the contrary from coach Mike Woodson.

However, Horford isn't expected to play on Monday against the Heat or on Wednesday against the Knicks in New York.

Horford wasn't expected to work out with the team until the end of the week, but his travel to South Beach could mean that he'll take the practice court in the next few days.

Horford Pushing For Return To Court

Hawks' center Al Horford could return to practice later this week and might play for the team late next week if his progress continues.

Horford has missed eight games because of a bone bruise in his right knee.

"He wants to play in the worst way, but we're not going to push it just to get him back out there when he's not ready," coach Mike Woodson said.
