Gordon's Toe Puts Bulls In A Jam

Bulls' guard Ben Gordon, sidelined with a sore toe, says he hopes to be back at practice on Monday, the Chicago Tribune is reporting.

After missing most of the preseason last year, Gordon has yet to play in a preseason game this season either, which is a concern for the Bulls since they have a new coach and are installing a new system.

"We haven't really been able to get any sort of flow going thus far because of the injuries," Coach Vinny Del Negro said.

Noah Returns For Bulls' Scrimmage

The Bulls welcomed Joakim Noah back onto the court for their 20-minute intrasquad scrimmage sporting a pair of goggles to protect his injured eye, the Chicago Sun-Times is reporting.

"The warmups felt great," he said. "Once I ran up and down the court like three times ... I mean, I'm in such bad shape right now. I really gotta get back after it because I hadn't done anything in about 10 days. It's unbelievable how fast you lose it."

"I was so out of shape I wanted to come out. Coach [Vinny Del Negro] told me to keep running."

Bulls, Mavericks Tried For Harrison

David Harrison chose Minnesota over offers from both Chicago and Dallas because he was impressed with Kevin McHale, the St. Paul Star-Tribune is reporting.

"McHale's a great man," Harrison said. "From our conversations, I can tell he cares a lot about the game and his players. He just gave me a general sense of well-being. I have to prove to the owners, the fans, my teammates that I am someone who can be depended upon to play both ends of the court and that I'll be ready for 82 games."

The Wolves signed the 7-foot former Pacer to a one-year, non-guaranteed contract.

In addition to interest from Minnesota, Chicago, and Dallas, it is believed that Harrison received offers from Europe.
