Gary Moore, the personal assistant for Allen Iverson, said Friday that the Nuggets "seem to be very willing" to offer the guard a multiyear contract, according to The Rocky Mountain News.
The team would reportedly offer Iverson the new deal if he were to opt out of his current deal by the June 20 deadline.
"We want to finish our career in Denver, but we have no decision on (whether Iverson will opt out)," said Moore, who added that a decision by Iverson won't be made until close to the June 20 deadline.
He is owed $20.84 million next season, and most don't believe that he will opt out unless the Nuggets offer him a longer-term deal.

The Knicks, Nuggets, Clippers, Supersonics, Suns, and Magic are expected to make a run at Chicago point guard Kirk Hinrich, according to The New York Daily News.
Because the Bulls are expected to take Derrick Rose with the first pick in June's NBA Draft, they'll need to move Hinrich in order to make room for the talented rookie-to-be.
Hinrich shouldn't be too difficult to move especially based on his level of play and moderate contract that runs through the 2011-12 season.

With the speculation of a trade between the Nuggets and Nets involving Carmelo Anthony and Marcus Camby subsiding, it could be more likely that Denver deals Allen Iverson, according to a report in the New York Post.
Peter Vecsey pointed out that Iverson has only one year left on his contract and isn't likely to receive the lucrative, long-term deal he'll covet from the Nuggets.
That could lead Denver to shop the guard, who was highly effective this season despite criticism that he was beginning to slow down.
