After 17 years in the NBA as an assistant coach or player, his opportunity to put his own team on the floor comes Tuesday morning around 9:45.

If you haven't been keeping up with the Pistons -- they open training camp Monday -- there were no earth-shaking free agents signed in the off-season. There was no trade that made you want to run to The Palace and buy season tickets.
