The NIT added former Purdue coach Gene Keady and retired New Mexico athletic director Rudy Davalos to its selection committee Thursday.

Doctors removed a bullet fragment Monday from the head of Sam Ashaolu, the most seriously injured of five Duquesne University basketball players shot on campus.

Six years ago, Arizona State met Tennessee in the first outdoor women's college basketball game.

The Sun Devils will meet the Lady Raiders on Dec. 18 at Chase Field, the Arizona Diamondbacks' retractable-dome stadium in downtown Phoenix.
"Basketball under the stars," Turner Thorne said. "It's going to be a lot of fun."
