Bucks Nearly Didn't End Up With Jennings

Brandon Jennings' camp expected the rookie point guard sensation to be drafted seventh overall by the Golden State Warriors, but they instead went with Stephen Curry after Minnesota surprisingly took two point guards.

Milwaukee had also discussed trading the 10th overall pick to Memphis in a deal for Mike Conley, as well as with Washington for the fifth overall selection.

The Bucks, of course, ultimately held onto the 10th overall pick and selected Jennings.

Azubuike Undergoes Successful Surgery

Golden State Warriors guard/forward Kelenna Azubuike underwent successful surgery today to repair a torn patellar tendon in his left knee, the team announced. The surgery, which was performed by Dr. Tom Carter in Phoenix, Arizona, is expected to sideline Azubuike for several months. Azubuike, 25, suffered the injury at the 9:03 mark of the first quarter during Saturday’s game against the Bucks in Milwaukee. A three-year NBA veteran, Azubuike has appeared in nine games this season (seven starts), averaging 13.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.00 block in 25.7 minutes.
