Rockets star Tracy McGrady had successful microfracture surgery on his left knee Tuesday.
The arthroscope confirmed that the ligaments and other cartilage in the knee were in good shape.
Houston coach Rick Adelman reacted to McGrady's apology for the way he handled the surgery announcement.
"He was probably caught up in getting evaluations and deciding on surgery," Adelman said. "It built up during the week that I was blasting him. I don't remember doing that. I just said there should have been a better way to do that. I think he probably realized that after the fact."
