Pacers Make Qualifying Offers To Jack And McRoberts

The Pacers have made qualifying offers to Jarrett Jack and McRoberts. Though both will be restricted free agents, the Pacers retain the right to match any offers from other teams.

"We want 'em back," said Larry Bird. "We know what we can do with Josh but Jarrett's still out there. We have to wait and see if anybody puts an offer in on him. I'm sure there's a lot of teams interested but with the economy the way it is, I don't see a lot of movement."

Pacers Decline Option On Daniels

The agent for Marquis Daniels told The Associated Press in an e-mail on Monday that the Pacers have indicated that they will not pay the final year of the deal. Daniels would have made $7.3 million next season, but now he's an unrestricted free agent.

A Pacers spokesman says the team cannot comment on the situation until free agency officially begins Wednesday.

Indiana is likely to start Brandon Rush at shooting guard during the 2009-10 season.

Pacers Decline Option On Daniels

The Pacers will not pick up the option on the contract of Marquis Daniels, according to the Indianapolis Star.

The option on the guard's contract for the 2009-10 season was worth $7.5 million.

Daniels will become an unrestricted free agent on July 1. It remains possible that Indiana could re-sign Daniels to a long-term deal at a lower annual rate.
