Lakers guard Shannon Brown is being sued in civil court for an alleged sex-related incident with a woman in Denver.
Brown's agent, Mark Bartelstein, confirmed the suit to ESPN on Sunday.
Bartelstein said the suit resulted from an incident when Brown was playing for the Bobcats, who played in Denver in late January.
"There was absolutely nothing to it," Bartelstein said. "I find it very interesting all of a sudden Shannon Brown has some success and someone decides to sue him civilly. People can draw their own conclusions. I stand by Shannon Brown. Everything Shannon has said to me as to what happened, the prosecutor verifies."

The Magic were 2-0 against the Lakers in the regular season.
Orlando was led by All-Star point guard Jameer Nelson in both of the victories, but they are unlikely to have his services in the NBA Finals.
Nelson has been out since February with a shoulder injury, but there have been rumors that he might be able to play a few minutes for the Magic.
Kobe Bryant had his first triple-double since 2005 on Jan. 16 against Orlando, when he posted 28 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists.

Despite losing to the Lakers in six games, Kenyon Martin believes that the Nuggets are a better team than the Western Conference Champions.
"I think we're better than them, actually, to be honest," Martin said after Friday's season-ending loss. "But we didn't prove that. That's obvious, cause they're moving on and we're not. But I think we have a better team than they do.
"Some people are going to say maybe the experience of them getting to the Finals last year was a deciding factor. But I'm proud of these guys in this locker room. And I think as a whole, our team is better than their team."
