Mavs To Challenge Flagrant Foul

According to the Dallas Morning News, the Mavericks will ask the league to review the flagrant foul that was called on Dirk Nowitzki when he tried to block a Pau Gasol drive to the basket with 59.3 seconds left in overtime.

Nowitzki said he felt like he went for the ball, and in fact, he blocked the layup.

"We'll review it, and I think it will get reduced," said Mavs owner Mark Cuban.

Nowitzki Three Breaks Grizzlies' Hearts

The Dallas Mavericks needed a prayer and Dirk Nowitzki answered, hitting a last second three pointer at the end of regulation to force overtime, where the Mavs got the upper hand, taking the game 94-89 to remain the only undefeated team remaining in the playoffs.

"They basically had the game won," said Nowitzki. "Obviously, it's a big win for us. If they make it 2-1, they'd be even more fired up the next game. So this is great."

The Grizzlies remain 0-for-the-playoffs. They have lost 11 in a row over three seasons.
