Nuggets Collect First 50-Win Season Since 1988

The Denver Nuggets beat the Memphis Grizzlies 120-111 in Denver last night to record their first 50 win season in 20 years, the Associated Press is reporting.

Carmelo Anthony received cheers from the home crowd in his first game since his drunken driving charge.

"It was good. I was just happy to be playing my last game of the regular season here on the home court rather than being on the road," Anthony said. "The only thing I'm focusing on right now is the playoffs. I'm not really worrying about anything else. I'm putting everything behind me."

Three Hurt As Small Section Of FedEx Forum Stands Collapses

A small section at FexEd Forum in Memphis collapsed before the game between the Grizzlies and Timberwolves on Saturday night, hurting three people, the Associated Press is reporting.

According to the report, one man was taken away on a stretcher and two others were treated at the scene, arena officials said.

"This has surprised us," said Steve Zito, the senior vice president of arena operations. "We're going to find out what happened and make sure it never happens again."

The incident happened an hour before the game was scheduled to begin. The section was roped off and did not affect the game.
