Sessions Continues To Impress Rambis

Timberwolves coach Kurt Rambis is going to give reserve guard Ramon Sessions more time on the floor.

Rambis said he'll increase Sessions' playing time as long as he is "doing the proper things out there on the floor."

He tallied 13 points and eight assists in 26 minutes against the Grizzlies on Saturday night.

However, Rambis isn't ready to pair Sessions with rookie Jonny Flynn just yet.

"At times, I can see it as a positive, but it can also be a negative," the coach said. "I'm still not sure where I stand with that."

Flynn Still Adjusting To Triangle Offense

Timberwolves rookie point guard Jonny Flynn is adjusting to the team's triangle offense.

Flynn was used to creating his own shot at Syracuse, but the triangle offense calls for constant ball movement.

"It's tough," Flynn said. "I'm just following the game plan, doing what Kurt [Rambis] wants. Me being a guy who likes to create off the dribble, likes to get into the lane, it's tough coming into a system like that."

The rookie point guard is averaging more turnovers (3.6) than assists (3.3), but ranks third of newcomers with 14.2 points per game.

"That's him kind of going back to his comfort zone and what he feels he can accomplish and do," coach Kurt Rambis said. "That's part of learning in this league, (learning) how talented, how big and strong and quick people are. It's difficult to do the same things in this league that you were able to do in college.

"But again, that's him figuring it out, trying to see what works and what doesn't work, and hopefully he continues to learn from that."

Al Jefferson To Miss Two Games

Timberwolves center Al Jefferson will miss two games because of an illness in his family.

The team announced that Jefferson left the team to be with an ill family member in Florida.

He will miss Friday's game against the Mavericks and Saturday's against the Grizzlies.
