Beasley Struggles In Second Summer League Game

After turning in an impressive performance on debut, Heat forward Michael Beasley was not able to follow up with another stellar performance against New Jersey on Tuesday, but his team did come away with the win.

Beasley finished the game going 1 for 13 from the field, scoring 9 points and collecting 7 fouls, the Associated Press is reporting.

"You can't have a great game every night," Beasley said. "But that wasn't a bad game, though. We still won."

Jefferson Now Happy With Trade

Richard Jefferson was introduced by the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday, and he says that he is now happy with the trade.

"I didn't know anything was going on and then the next thing I know my phone didn't stop ringing for about a week," he said. "When this happened I was upset, but after calming down and evaluating everything, I became excited."

Jefferson said he has nothing against the city that Yi was reluctant to play in.

"It was nothing about Milwaukee," he said. "I could've been traded to Boston. I could've been traded to L.A.; I could've been traded anywhere.

"It wasn't about the city. It was about that feeling of rejection by the team that traded for you on draft day seven years ago. But when that happened, I didn't want to go to New Jersey, either."

Nets, Krstic Appear To Be Parting Ways

It appears as though the Nets and Nenad Krstic may be ready to part ways through free agency this summer, according to The Star-Ledger.

New Jersey has added some key players to their front court, with Krstic looking like the odd man out. The Nets also don't want to give Krstic, a restricted free agent, more than a two-year deal.

"We've talked about all the possible options out there," agent Marc Cornstein said. "Because of his situation -- coming off the injury, his age (he turns 25 in three weeks) -- the important thing is to go into a situation where he is wanted and where he is able to flourish. So he'd be open to anything, if it's going to be best for his career."

General Manager Kiki Vandeweghe is hopeful that he can retain both Krstic and unrestricted free agent Bostjan Nachbar or at least get something in return.

"Let's just say we're hopeful we can retain them," Vandeweghe said of Krstic and Nachbar, who are represented by Cornstein. "I've been in contact with (Cornstein) three or four times at this point. I don't know how long this will take. Certainly any team's first priority is to look at their own free agents and explore the (feasibility) of keeping them."
