Nets' Move To Brooklyn Clears Hurdle

The proposed Atlantic Yards project that would move the Nets from New Jersey to Brooklyn earned a court victory Thursday when a lawsuit by community activists was rejected.

The suit charged that the Empire State Development Corp.'s environmental review of the site was inadequate.

The Nets hope to break ground by mid-2009 and move into their 18,000-seat Barclays Center in 2011.

"This project has been reviewed as thoroughly as any in the city, and now it is time to put these cases behind us and get to work," owner Bruce Ratner said in a statement.

Carter: I'm Playing 'Terrible' Basketball

Nets swingman Vince Carter isn't happy with his play as of late.

"I don't feel like my game is where it should be at this point in the season," said Carter.

"I want to do more for my team, be more consistent. I want to cut down on some of my turnovers. I think I had five -- that's too many. I know I have the ball in my hands a lot and it happens. But it's something I can't sit with. We're playing at the end of the season. I consider it money time. I expect myself to play that way."

Carter is averaging just 14.0 points on 37% shooting in New Jersey's last three games.
