League sources told ESPN.com's Marc Stein that the Hornets will promote Alan Bristow to the general manager job and will announce this move before the June 24 Draft.
Bristow was brought aboard as an assistant GM before this past season.
Bob Bass will stay with the club through the Draft as agreed to under his exit plan.
Bristow will work closely with new Hornets head coach Byron Scott.
