New York Knickerbockers President of Basketball Operations Isiah Thomas announced today that guard Jamal Crawford has been placed on the Injured List with right turf toe and guard Jamison Brewer has been activated.
Crawford, 6-5, 190-pounds, has been placed on the Injured List with right turf toe. The injury occurred on Wednesday at Boston at the start of the third quarter. With this degree of injury, it typically takes from 3-6 weeks to heal. In 26 starts this season, the four-year NBA veteran has averaged 19.3 points and 3.7 assists.
Brewer, 6-4, 195-pounds, had missed the last 10 games on the Injured List due to right big toe tendinitis. The three-year NBA veteran is averaging 1.3 points and 10.3 minutes in four games.

Knicks' Guard Jamal Crawford is expected to miss three to six weeks after injuring his toe during the 3rd quarter of their loss tot he Celtics. Crawford is believed to have injured his right big toe, when Celtics' guard Jiri Welsch stepped on his toe after they fell trying to recover a loose ball in a close game.
X-rays taken on Thursday were negative, but an MRI revealed that Crawford has turf toe. He’s expected to be placed on the injured list on Sunday, the Knicks said.
The 6-foot-5 Crawford signed a seven-year deal worth about $56 million with Chicago and then was traded to New York with guard Jerome Williams for Frank Williams, Dikembe Mutombo, Othella Harrington and Cezary Trybanski.
