No word on Allen

Sonics' Allen may need ankle surgery

Sonics guard Ray Allen met with an orthopedist in Los Angeles yesterday to discuss options for his injured right ankle. Although results weren't conclusive, general manager Rick Sund said the ankle could require surgery.

"It's a situation where he met with the doctors, and now he's going to talk to some of his advisers," Sund said. "Surgery is an option. If he elects to go the surgery route, it would be Friday or Saturday."
