No Abdur-Rahim For Philly

According to the Philadelphia Daily News the Sixers made an unsuccessful push to acquire Portland forward Shareef Abdur-Rahim.

Sixers president/general manager Billy King confirmed he had come up empty making a pitch for the former All-Star. "I asked if there was anything we could do, and they said no,'' King said.

76ers Activate Guard McKie

The Philadelphia 76ers have activated guard Aaron McKie prior to the team's game against the Washington Wizards, the Philadelphia Inquirer is reporting. McKie was averaging 1.0 points, 1.6 rebounds and 16.2 minutes before missing the last six games with a shoulder injury.

Kevin Ollie will replace McKie on the injured list with a lower back strain.

Iverson Sits Versus Miami With Bad Elbow

Philadelphia 76ers guard Allen Iverson didn't travel with the team for Sunday's game against Miami because of a bruised right elbow.

Iverson left Friday's game against San Antonio in the final minute after running into a broadcast table and injuring his elbow.

X-rays were negative, and Iverson's status is day to day. He is averaging 26.1 points per game, has also been bothered by tendinitis in both calves.
