U.S. District Court Judge Ellen Segal Huvelle in Washington said Iverson can be deposed in the suit, possibly as soon as next month. She denied a defense motion to extend discovery beyond the end of this season, and set a May 10 date for a status conference. The suit claims the 30-year-old Iverson, league MVP in 2001, joined members of his security detail in attacking patrons and staff at the Eyebar in Washington, leaving one man with a concussion, a perforated ear drum and a damaged right eye. The suit seeks $20 million in damages. "We're amending the suit" to add the names of members of Iverson's entourage, Gregory Lattimer, a lawyer representing the plaintiffs, said in an interview.
