Sixers Waive Gordan Giricek

Philadelphia 76ers President and General Manager Ed Stefanski announced today that the team has waived guard Gordan Giricek. Per team policy, terms of the agreement are not disclosed. In 12 games with the Sixers, Giricek averaged 3.1 points, 1.2 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 9.2 minutes, while shooting 31.7% (13-47) from the floor.

Giricek May Get Buyout Wish

The Sixers appear to be willing to grant the request of Croatian guard Gordan Giricek and buy out the remainder of his contract, allowing him to become a free agent, the Philadelphia Daily News is reporting.

According to a source, Giricek's most likely destination is Phoenix, depending on what happens with Brent Barry.

Sixers' Dalembert Expected To Play Wednesday

Samuel Dalembert expects to play for the 76ers on Wednesday night against the Magic, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
