Philadelphia Has Ronnie Price As Plan B At PG

If the 76ers are unable to re-sign point guard Andre Miller, they could pursue Ronnie Price.

Price, a veteran who spent the last two seasons with the Jazz, would share time at point guard with rookie Jrue Holiday and combo guard Lou Williams.

76ers Focusing Heavily On Retaining Miller

The first day of free agency is Wednesday, and the 76ers are focused on re-signing point guard Andre Miller.

Miller, an unrestricted free agent, averaged 16.3 points and 6.5 assists for Philadelphia last season.

"He's the main free agent, an important free agent," said Sixers general manager Ed Stefanski. "Neither of us is going to be at each other's doorstep at 12:01 a.m., but we will talk on July 1. There's no doubt."

Andy Miller, the guard's agent, has said that his client's preference is to remain with the 76ers.

Stefanski: Brand-To-Miami Rumors Untrue

76ers general manager Ed Stefanski has denied a rumor that the team could trade Elton Brand to the Heat.

The rumor, which was printed in the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, was apparently build around the fact that Miami signed Brand to an offer sheet a few years ago.

The "rumored" deal had Philadelphia shipping Brand to the Heat for Jermaine O'Neal and Daequan Cook.

"Absolutely not," Stefanski said of any talks between the two clubs.
