Oden Wants To Reach Pre-Draft Expectations

Many people have high expectations for Greg Oden, and the Portland forward understands where people are coming from.

Oden, the first overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft, missed his entire rookie season to injury and played just 61 games in 2008-09.

"I want to be dominant. I want to be everything that everybody thought I was going to be when they drafted me," Oden said recently.

He averaged 8.9 points and 7.0 rebounds for the Blazers last season.

May Had Offer From Cleveland

Sean May, who joined the Kings last week, spoke with HoopsHype about his other suitors.

"I did have an offer from Cleveland. We were also taking to Portland, but no offer on the table from them," May told the web site.

May had injury and weight issues during his time in Charlotte, but feels as though he'll be a perfect fit in Sacramento.

"Just because I liked the fact that Sacramento is a young team, with a lot of young guys that are also talented. They have a new staff coming in," May added. "They've always had great fan support and the community there is great. It was just a good fit. The other teams I worked out for, sure I could have gone there. I just thought it was a better opportunity in Sacramento."
