Kings May Not Be Done Shuffling Roster

The Kings have been quiet over the last month, but some roster shuffling could occur prior to training camp.

Sacramento coach Paul Westphal says that he has been in contact with president Geoff Petrie and that the chance for more change remains.

"I wouldn't be surprised if it's the team we enter camp with, and I wouldn't be surprised if we tweak it a little bit," Westphal told the Sacramento Bee.

The Kings have $5 million in cap room and no conventional backup for center Spencer Hawes.

"We don't want to just add somebody if they can't help us," Westphal added. "If there's a way to (add to the depth at center), I'm sure we'll do it."

Brockman Still Hoping For Deal With Kings

The Kings have yet to sign second-round pick Jon Brockman, who was taken 38th overall out of Washington.

Bob Myers, who represents Brockman, said he's "hopeful" an agreement will be reached before camp.

Martin Hoping Kings Have Already Hit Bottom

Kevin Martin is entering his sixth season and is one of the NBA's more underrated shooting guards.

"All the losing is tough -- it wears on you -- but this time of year I try not to worry about things I don't control," he said. "What I can control is that I can become a better player every summer by working at it."

The Kings had the worst record in the NBA during the 2008-09 season, with a mark of 17-65.

"I understand that people sometime don't want to be part of something that takes awhile, but hopefully, we've already hit bottom," Martin said. "My first couple years in the league, we were fighting for playoff spots. Now, you've just got to adjust the way you look at things. We've got some nice young players. I have to help them get better."
