According to the San Antonio Express-News, Jaren Jackson will be remembered for his 3-point barrage that helped the Spurs sweep the Lakers en route to the NBA championship in 1999.
On Wednesday, the Spurs said so long to the veteran guard, waiving him with one year left on his contract.
"This is what he wanted," Spurs coach and general manager Gregg Popovich said. "Obviously we have made a lot of changes this year, and we actually are very full at that spot. He would have had a tough time finding playing time there."
