Clippers sign Rice

The Los Angeles Clippers have signed free agent forward Glen Rice.

The deal is for one year at the 10-year veterans minimum.

Clippers GM Elgin Baylor was upbeat about the signing.

“In Glen we are getting an experienced veteran who is considered one of the purest shooters who has ever played the game,” stated Baylor. “He can play the shooting guard or small forward position for us and his ability to hit the open shot will spread the defense and help our low-post players.”

Rice was recently traded from Houston and then released by Utah.
