Daniels Should Expect The Full Mid-Level From Cavs Or Jazz

Antonio Daniels will be receiving two things this offseason that the Sonics will not be able to provide; a full mid-level contract and a starting job.

Both the Cavaliers and Jazz will be in the hunt for Daniels, who gave the Sonics great stability at both guard positions.

Jazz Owner: Kirilenko Is 'Untouchable'

Jazz owner Larry Miller does not expect the Jazz to move up in this year's draft, simply because he doesn't want to part with any of his core playersm particularly Andrei Kirilenko.

"People ask if a player is 'untouchable,' and you get in trouble mentioning names," he said. "But I'll name one: I mean, we're not trading Andrei (Kirilenko) — for any team in the league. "He's just too exciting to watch, and his head's screwed on too straight," Miller added. "So Andrei's not going anywhere — except home to Russia for the summer, and then back."

Jazz May Look To Trade Up

After a season that fell well below the Utah Jazz expectations, there has been talk at the Jazz camp of trading up from their #6 pick to get a better player.

It is widely known that the Jazz need a point guard, however, at #6 both Chris Paul and Deron Williams will likely be taken.

Kevin O'Connor, the Jazz's senior vice president of basketball operations, even scoffed when asked if his draft board leads him to believe Utah could land a point it likes with the sixth selection.

"Whether it's a point guard or not, we'll try to get the best player," he snapped. "Let's not pigeon-hole us into drafting positions."
