The Nashville Tennessean quotes Tennessee coach Bruce Pearl as saying that he won't be the next Hawkeye basketball coach.

Tennessee granted permission to Iowa Athletics Director Gary Barta this morning to contact Pearl about the job, and a few minutes later, Barta and Pearl spoke, but it seemed more of a courtesy on Pearl's part than anything.

Pearl said unequivocally that he'll be staying at Tennessee.
