Lets see how the team do against a veteran coach and team that could gameplan against them.

I'm liking how its going so far. I typically love the set plays the Cavs come out with for the first few possessions. They usually get us some pretty good looks. Its odd it doesn't translate to the post-timeout plays.

We don't talk enough about how good Caris LeVert has been so far as Cleveland's sixth man this season.

Also Cleveland really needs to stop missing these free throws.

It's weird, I don't see the typical three complaining about how this season is a lost cause right now. Funny how that works.

Regardless of how this game ends... the season isn't a lost cause.

I feel like he has a few prime JR Smith in Cleveland years in him.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

You have to win this game at this point if you're Cleveland. You managed to get Draymond ejected while maintaining a near double digit lead for most of the third. There's no excuse here.

uhhh that Draymond Green 2nd technical was not in the cards for me lol. I mean, it was definitely intentional and was probably tech worthy (or flagrant one worthy), but a little worried about the implication of the decision to go back and call a tech

In a strange twist of fate, Green getting ejected seems to have lit a fire in the Warriors because now they’re right back in it. Also, there’s no reason for Bickerstaff to have not played Tristan one yet. That is inexcusable against a team that is really great at getting rebounds.

Up one with a quarter to go is scary against the Warriors. This was a killer quarter with slow offense and lackluster defense.

Gotta finish it out against the Warriors sans Draymond

Despite the resident cheerleader doing what they do best. This team might hang and is still very much average when you look at the actual basketball.

I still cannot believe how unbelievable bad garland has been with the turnovers its baffling

Games not over, but no need to make a positive a negative :P

Team has looked pretty good against a Warriors team that has had them since LeBron left.

If the Cavs win, the Warriors losses will only have been the Nuggets, Suns, and Cavs x2.

Cavs closed out a game convincingly!

Biggest shoutout is to Mobley and Allen and for something that is not typical for them. 15/16 from FTs! Felt great to see these guys feel automatic.

Garland hit 3/5 from three which has felt rare in this early season. Still gotta cut out the odd turnovers.

Niang looks WAY off with his shot. Its a little worrying so far, but I'm not hitting the panic button.

Dean Wade with the Kuminga matchup went poorly, but I personally think the fouls called against him were a bit soft so idk. His spacing helped, but the fouling out on (I think) all shooting fouls wasn't helpful.

I somehow spoke too soon about convincingly lol. The bench mob lost us a bit of a lead, but we still win lol

No one's being a cheerleader here. It's called having a brain and using it.

But it was nice not having the usual suspects constantly complaining like usual. It's a good change of pace.

You're mistaken. PORTER lost us a bit of the lead.

Got the win, even though JB had to resort to an 8 man rotation to do it lol

I'll put a little blame on the defense of the bench mob, but yeah if Craig Porter makes half his free throws the lead isn't lost

It's worse than you're describing it. Not only did JB do an 8 man rotation, he didn't play Thompson at all in a game where Cleveland was struggling on the glass.

He felt he could go small because Golden State only ever plays 2-3 bigs. And I'll tell you what, we are 2-0 against the Warriors, so I'm not going to doubt that strategy. Golden State had to crash the offensive boards to get their rebounds which led to a lot of Cleveland run-outs.
