Agreed, plus the inning we had bases loaded and got zero runs. This was a tough one.

I guess see what tomorrow brings and hope to get it to a Game 3 somehow. Sigh.

I can't think of many worse playoff losses. It's one thing to lose because the other team is just better. This was something else entirely.

We’re going to have 3 guys try to hit solo HRs to wrap this up aren’t we?

Crowd should be booing them off the field.

Wasn’t even given some real major league at bats this past weekend. What in the F.

That felt like watching a death in slow motion. I don't agree that Counsell was terrible - this was about 95% on the players completely letting him down, starting with Burnes. That forces a manager to make decisions nobody wants to make.

Burnes absolutely has to put up a quality start in that spot and he didn’t. That’s it.

Sometimes you just gotta laugh. Our ace pitcher and best reliever get shellacked, then a 38-year old Evan Longoria makes a play only a 28-year old Gold Glove infielder makes. You couldn't script a more gut-punching loss than this.

I love how little it actually matters and how much I actually care, but it's wild how in love the fanbase is with a guy that also missed basically the entire season, has a worse OBP than Winker, and strikes out 40% of the time batting in a low probability of success situation.

Yes, I get that Winker was hurt during patches of the season, but that was about the 15th most important decision/performance of the night and was arguably the statistically right decision to make both with roster decision and who to pinch hit.

But yes, in truth, all that really matters is Burnes sucking, Williams sucking, and some incredibly **** luck/bad ABs.

I had a friend at the game and he said there were lots and lots of empty seats. You can give away thousands of tickets but you can't make people go. There will be more empty seats tonight. Sad but not surprising.

It’s 100% the postseason format. The 3 game series, all at home on back to back to back days is gimmicky and I imagine there are a lot of fans waiting for the next round when the “real playoffs” begin.

I think I've seen some articles that elimination games for MLB draw a way, way higher number of viewers on TV if I remember correctly.

One of those things that I agree might cause less fans to show up at the game which is a bummer, kinda sucks that a few years ago the Brewers would've just been playing in a round closer to the World Series...but I understand from the MLB's pocketbook standpoint. They have what amounts to *basically* an entire extra series of elimination games since we pretty much feel eliminated after that G1 loss.

It looked pretty good on TV and at times the commentary said it was super loud. Grindle on radio said it was easily over 40K. I saw official number was just under 41K, so guessing high 30s actually there.

Moral is pretty low today so guessing tonight will be lower as everyone assumes Gallon is gonna knock us out. If somehow win, tomorrow will be fun and would expect a big crowd.

Last night was a gut punch though. Just so many opportunities, bad luck, down performances by our top 2 pitchers, etc. I have been as all-in on a season this year as I have for awhile and just felt like in 1 night it all ended. But I guess its not over yet, so give them hell tonight.

I’ll hang my hat on that Gallon has been touched up on the road a bit this year and that Freddy has been better than him in the 2nd half. Gallon owned us but the games were April/June. If we can tag him a bit early, their pen should be taxed a bit (albeit ours may be too). New day, still hope, lets go.
