Interesting. Whole lotta money for a guy who may not pitch effectively again.

The glass half full angle I’ll take is I assume they have high confidence he is going to return to form if are dishing out 17.5M guaranteed to him.

I'm not going to fully suggest there was funny business or that Sanchez didn't have contract negotiation issues, I'm sure that may have been possible given Sanchez is getting less guaranteed money than reported initially...but the timing still lines up to the degree that they probably strung something along to sneak Woodruff in there so as not to have to dump an extra player from their 40-man.

I can't tell if I should be excited or confused that they have so much confidence in Woodruff. I mean, it's obviously a really good sign if you think it shows that they know something we don't about his recovery, but how much can you really know at this stage? Maybe the surgery revealed that the damage wasn't as bad as originally thought?

Brewers are saying it was concern about Sanchez's broken wrist that delayed the signing but the timing with Woodruff makes that unlikely.

Sanchez confirmed today that he hurt his right wrist during an offseason workout and that's what caused the issue. It wasn't the same wrist he broke

It would be so badass if Chuorio earns a chance to leadoff this year.

I'm very comfortable with the gamble on Woodruff. The potential level of the reward is worth the absolute worst case scenario risk.

This is a really fun lineup.
-Frelick at 3B
-Chourio & Black as prospects
-Wiemer, Turang, & Perkins as returning young guys
-I'm personally very intrigued by Oliver Dunn and excited to see him this spring
Just wish the game was on TV

Legit can't find any info, which I'm guessing means it's not a thing. But does anyone know if there's a sprint training MLB.TV option? Or is it just NBA who does that? Seems like a missed opportunity. I'd pay $20 to watch today's game for sure.

I know today's game is on WTMJ radio, which you can listen to online if you're within about 75 miles of Milwaukee.
