Records at Glance: Brewers: 73-70, T-1st NL Central; Pirates: 63-80, 5th NL Central

TV: FSN Wisconsin
Radio: 620 WTMJ

Yovani Gallardo, RHP (7-4, 4.27)

Bryan Bullington, RHP (0-1, 15.00)

Scouting Report

Brewers: Gallardo worked seven shutout innings to beat the Astros on Wednesday for his third win in four starts, holding Houston to six hits and never allowing a runner past second base. He also went 1-for-3 at the plate and scored a run, boosting his batting average to .281 (9-for-32). He is nearing the point where Brewers officials are concerned about his innings pitched.

Pirates: With Paul Maholm still sidelined with tightness in his lower back, Bullington will get a second start since being called up. The former No. 1 Draft pick made his first Major League start last Thursday and lasted just three innings while allowing five runs. The Pirates are going to remain very cautious on how many pitches Bullington throws, since it is still his first season off shoulder surgery. Before joining the Pirates, Bullington pitched 150 innings down at Triple-A.

We faced a young pitcher who had 0 wins and a high ERA in Cincy and we killed him. I doubt that will happen again though.

Can't wait for BA to tell us it's tough to beat teams like the Pirates because they are "playing loose."

My prediction is that the 'Gabe Gross starting over Billy Hall' stretch ends today. Gross had a nice little run, but if this team is going to fail to make the playoffs, they should do it with Billy Hall starting.
Go Bucks!

Absolutely. Hall needs to start from here on out. I have been really outspoken about this. Gross has played well but Hall is our CF for the next several years at least. Furthermore Hall has been playing well and is better defensively than Gross.

 You love to bust out with your stats any chance you get...dont you? Unfortunetely stats dont tell you everything. I mean its a big factor but there are many other factors that go into making decisions. If it was all based on stats we would probably be 30 games under .500.
