Pat the Bat has been the man since the all star break.

Pre-All Star break numbers: .215 AVG / .378 OBP / .408 SLG / .786 OPS - 11HR / 37 RBI

Post-All star break numbers: .330 AVG / .442 OBP / .670 SLG / 1.112 OPS - 17 HR / 53 RBI

I'm a believer in Pat. He has a great eye, but at the beginning of the year (and maybe his entire career..) it seemed like he would rather use his eye than his bat.

But he's a lot more aggressive now and it's paying off... that's the way I see it anyway.

I think the fact that the fans are giving him standing O's is a big factor too. Now, instead of going up to bat, hoping to hell he doesn't have to swing, pop up, and get booed.. he can go up to bat without the fear of being booed if he pops up.

He has such a good eye, if he can just stay aggressive and SWING AT STRIKES, we'll see some good things. It really is that simple IMO, but what do I know.

The real Pat the Bat is the same one he's been for the last 3 years. And that's fine.
