Me neither, at his ageand conract, Mavs are better off looking for something else.

Can or can't?
Can't

That's a big long contract, Mavs need some more bulk, and he's a below average rebounder.

Wouldn't be irate if they traded for him. Just prefer other players.

He's definitely a better player than Grant, but about the same rebounder, which isn't that great, they are both poor.

The other thing is his age, he's about to be 30 which isn't bad in itself, it just depends on how many years you think Dallas is from being a champion, and how old will he be at that time with that big contract.

Don't think people realize his age.

BTW that charge THJ took from Scoot should be a real red flag, you could see it from miles away, and Scoot wasn't prepared to do a simple Euro step.

I like that Exum plays his game the way he thinks is best. He knows his game isnt catch and shoot and he likes to attack the basket. He shoots 3's when he's in his rythem.Kyrie doesnt play catch and shoot either ,he shoots them withing his game also.

December Luka is something else
Read on Twitter

Hopefully they give him the rest he needs, in order not to have February/March Luka again this year, I'd punt the Nuggets game, rest Luka and Lively, unleash Dqight Powell, Jaden Hardy and OMax on the Rockies.

THJ is frustrating to watch, but Mavs really aren't having any other options at the moment than THJ chucking shots. He has even create for himself sometimes, which we know isn't exactly his forte. Mavs can't win any game without him scoring near 20.

THJ is even making skip passes and drive and kicks this year...
Except for the Wolves game (and Nets game earlier this year), THJ has been great, and with Exum, provided the play making and scoring punch Mavs lost with Kyrie's injury.

Better hope he keeps it up as this team goes as Hardaway goes.

I don't recall a game that we won when Hardaway had a bad game.
I'm sure there are a few, but we most likely lose if he isn't having a great scoring game.

I thought our greatest need was a big wing, but now it is definitely backup center.
I don't think I can stomach watching this team with Powell as our primary center.

Can we please get another 7 footer on this team?
With 18 roster spots, you'd think we could at least carry 2 of them.

I still think a big 4 is needed, I just don't trust Grant, I'm sorry.

A backup big and a starting 4 who can rebound, defend, and hit the 3. But every team wants one of those.

The problem is the Mav FO should have seen this in the offseason and addressed it then.
They are just damn lucky Lively vastly overachieved or where would this team be?
Now just losing him for a few games will absolutely kill this team.

I still don't understand why they resigned Powell and let McGee go.
At least McGee gave us something useful even though he was a complete knucklehead.

Capela, Gafford and Claxton are guys we should be looking at right now.
If Green and a couple 2nd rounders can get you Capela, you have to do it now imo.

Luka is enough for W those games but our defense is putrid.
Yes we have a lot of injuries but...

Powell is a shaman, he can play 20+ minutes despite he is the 5th best C of the team.
I'm afraid of what he can do, he has great powers... Just like Professor Xavier of X-Men

If Luka wasn't good at basketball, he'd be a bouncer at illegal poker club

I've wondered just how good of a quarterback he could have been.

Nice win with Kyrie not playing.
I will gladly take it.

And most importantly no Lively aswell. Didn't think in 2023 Kieff will be a difference maker at the end
