Painful to say it but at the rate of his decline this season we should package him for a deal somewhere asap. He's completely lost any sort of touch somehow.

I'm afraid it's too late for that. No one will touch him.

Lawson needs to get some credit. This kid brings it every chance he can get. I want to see more of him.

Beating the Spurs makes for a good Christmas gift.

He does the simple things needed from a 2nd guard:
Hustle and dive for loose ball
Shoot if you're open
Drive if you have a clear path

Green and Hardy complicate things, Hardy is also off too many times.

Not sure that's a great idea but hey this is probably the first time in Mavs history, that I'd be ok with a 3 PG lineup.

Not a great idea IMO, Kyrie will be relegated pure spot up shooter or Exum will be and he's not good at it.
He should be 2 years ago Dinwiddie.

Yes i agree, Dante off the bench could be lethal and we need size in the S5.

He looked for his moments and he didnt buy in to shooting catch and shoot 3's when he wasnt comfortable . Only a player with confidence would do that with the way Luka plays and controls the ball. He's become a Luka weapon.
Now I realize there's some butthurt guys who want Grant Williams playing no matter how terrible he plays but the handwriting is on the wall that he's destined as a backup like at Boston. For now I think DJJ will play and the Mavs will play with a fast pace and play to outscore all other teams. But behind the scenes come January 15th a trade will come for a player entering his prime and let the Mavs compete THIS year !

Yes tonight Mavs were better because Exum not because a guy posted 40+12+12 in 3 quarter

Only an *edit* makes up arguments from lack of understanding ....... this is about Exum staying a starter as Kidd has said because of Exums play . Try to pay attn.

Please use better language to make your point

Exum played well, but starting him is not the way to go given the team's current makeup. You only do that if Kyrie is traded for an all star level PF who can spread the floor, and there's no such deal.

Lawson is better than Green and Hardy. Mavs FO past & present suck at evaluating college talent

We tend to forget because it's his 6th year and he's ultra-accomplished, but Luka is still a kid, he's much closer to the G-leaguers/rookies maturity-wise than the vets

I think Exum is a better fit with Luka than Kyrie.

The closing lineup is more important to me though, and I just hope Exum can keep Hardaway from being part of it.

Why did Prosper get a virtual DNP after having a great performance the night before?
He really only played garbage minutes after the Mavs built a 30+ point lead.

I'm not a big Kidd basher, but I don't think he understands the benefit of building confidence in young players who can bring something to this team. Especially someone like Prosper who has the physical attributes we will need come PO time.

I think too but he have Kyrie and a bunch of mediocre wings... So it's better Exum from the bench and pairing with one of Luka and Kyrie.

The closing linuep should be variable and based on opponent team but we have Kidd so it could be painful.

Agreed, if there was a trade to get a near all star level forward for who's more available, we should do it. Just Don see that option anywhere

Its too bad some fans here can't accept a player blowing up on their team if it affects one of their favorites in Grant Williams. But sorry it's about winning games and this team isnt about waiting til next summer or the next draft to win in the Luka era. Its phony a$$to say the 2nd unit needs a ball handler when from day one Luka and Kyrie stagger their minutes to play with the 2nd unit and everybody knows it. Now chances are Mavs will have 2 ball handlers at all times.

I think Exum staying a starter facilitates a trade for a forward who's in his prime now (not for anyone past their prime or guy with prospects). Mavs want to win now.

If youre to slow to follow ,then dont make posts about them .I realize alot flies over your head and you have to play catchup, thats OK ,You've been wrong about Exum from the start (easily pulled up) now he's going to stay starting with Kyrie and Luka so you have to let go and accept it.

If you are not able to learn there is no need to insult other users, ask for a drawing. Maybe it can help you.

Absolutely wrong, i always said if Exum makes shoots he will be a great role otherwise his playtime will be plus or less 15minutes a game like all his career... And that's what happens.

You started a battle against the world for Exum but no one is interested because you are boring and repetitive, just like ozwizard8 with Irving.

Grant Williams is just another wrong signing, slow feet, undersize PF that can't get reb :noway: ,should sign Saric instead of Grant Williams in summer
