4-1 road trip and the loss came off a badly missed travel call, can't be too mad.

Without LIvely, can we get the 6 spot? But Pelicans also struggling. We're back to tied with them and both Suns and Kings only 1 game back.

Can someone please explain to me why we can't catch clippers? I mean the gap is not that big.

Clippers are 2 games ahead but also have the tiebreaker over us, so technically 3 games ahead. We have 7 games to cover the gap, which isn’t impossible but needed the win tonight.

7 games remaining, 2 games distance and they have the tie breaker, which makes it a 3 game distance, Clippers have 2 games against the Jazz and 1 against the Rockets who have nothing to play for now, it's practically over.
Given how everyone below the Mavs is winning also, Mavs need to be careful not to lose ground.
They are ahead of the Pelicans only because of a weak tie breaker, Houston game is a must win to secure it, and 1 game ahead of the Suns/Kings, and they have the tie breaker against the Suns, but the tie breaker with Sac is very shaky and can go either way.

All of a sudden I don't feel good about that Houston game now. So much pressure. LOL

Disappointing loss!
However, I expect us to focus on the Clippers as our matchup, so we'll win, or lose as needed.

This post did not age well...

This game was an automatic L when Powell entered the game, no question.
Kidd should be fired just because he played him in a NBA game.Right now. Now.

I miss the guy who wanted to convince us that Powell was a good situational backup C

Luka and Kyrie were good as always but our role players chucked and our bench was awful... We missed a lot Lively of course but maybe Green would helped too.

Wiggins confirm that if he is on track he could be the perfect fit for this team... A very talented 2way wing.

This L hurts because GW are not so good and Curry didn't make 20 3s but **** happens. We maked a good run.

Head to the next one and NO MORE DWIGHT POWELL please.... Try 5 guards lineups i'm ok but no Dwight Powell. It's like playing 6 vs 4.

Oh well i missed our stretch 5... Not even needed a comment.

There is no C in G-League that we can sign for those games? Anyone can help when Maxi and Powell are your backup Cs pack. Please.

Green was actually missed in this one.

Mavs coming up for 3 games in 4 days, hopefully one of Green/Lively joins, they need depth.

But a few on this board say he is the only reason we lose.
My initial response was pure sarcasm.

Only Luka can have a 30-10-10 game with good shooting percentages and still make it feel like he was not himself? Or maybe it's just a bad perception, but I felt he was more passive than usual and deferred too much - it felt he clearly was tired. Just felt like the Mavs were a step too slow almost all game and still could/should have won.

Definitely missed Lively's energy.

It was 92-92 with 4:28 left. The Mavs only scored again in the final minute.

Reviewing the shots:

- PJ Washington wide open floater

- Kyrie open 3

- Luka open 3

- PJ Washington corner 3

All good shots. Missed. The Warriors had 2 goal tends... really ugly way to lose the game, with Curry scoring only 13 points.

He did even try to contest some shoots :banghead:

Good observation Dirk.

That wide open floater definitely indeed cost us the game, or I should say had he made it, the momentum would have been completely on our side. What's more frustrating was that PJ was open on the 3, and he hesitated to take the shot and went in with the much closer floater, which was a good decision imo, but he still MISSED!!!
