A great test to the Mavs "depth".

Will need everyone in order for J-Kidd to offer Luka signed jerseys to the Boston ladies.

We need to win this to get our full confidence back! Let's go Mavs!

Scheduled L, that's why the Cavs loss hurts more.

What makes Boston standout is they have 4 ballhandlers in their starting lineup and KP doesnt cough the ball up or make mistakes when the ball goes through him in their offense.

This is why Exum will keep finding minutes as he gets his game legs back. He played pretty flawlessly against Toronto getting 5 assist /0 TO's. As we already saw he brought the ball up quite a bit with 2 superstar ballhandlers in the lineup with him giving defenses alot to figure out..

With Kyrie ,Exum ran their play to give Kyrie an opening to attack the defense. They work good together .
When with Luka they had to premium ballhandlers on the court at all times.

But when it's all said and done ,it will come down to whether Lively and Gafford can slow down KP . Contrary to what his detractors say KP isnt the 3rd or 4th option . Alot of games for Boston KP is the reason they won with his rim protection and his scoring all over the court. Alot of Dallas fans wont recognize KP because he wont be stuck in the corners like he was in Dallas.

Very deep team. They have length. They play team defense. Bench is very good but Young besides AL. Fun team to watch on NBA league pass when the mavs don't play. I'm guessing they start Jrue on Luka?

If there's a game for Luka to showcase why he's the MVP, it's this one. Hoping for a huge Luka performance and a win.

I hope not, wishing good health to everyone even those I want off my team...

Luka owned the Celtics in all 20/21 and 21/22 season, including 2 games winners and game winning assist to Dinwiddie, since then they capitalized on Luka's sucky roster, this is the 1st time Luka faces with good supporting since 22 season, hoping for a good game.

Assuming Luka plays of course...

BOS has the best starting 5 + Al Horford as 6th man. IMO, the only way that can defeat them, is to out-muscale them. Crush the board, attack the paint, make KP and/or Horford into foul trouble as soon as possible.

If I am the coach, I will have few more notes to my key players.

1) To Luka, be extra cautious on the ball, avoid fancy but dangerous pass, otherwise TOs would kill us by giving up fast break/open 3 ball opportunites. Save all energy on scoring/assist and PLAY DEFENSE, as Brown/Tatum will find you and attack you the whole game. Other aspects such as stealing ball, draw charge, rebounding etc. let your teammate to handle.

2) To Kyrie, be more active in term on ball handling/assist to share the workload with Luka, as BOS has 4 great permeter defenders. Attack hard on Holiday/White, wear them down, make them less energy on offensive end, draw foul (not your style, but that is the only way to win) and try to get them into foul trouble. Stay focus on defensive end.

3) To THJ, shoot the ball only when you are open, dont play hero ball. Reduce ball handling or create offense. Your dont have enough abilities to do these things against Holiday/White/Brown/Tatum.

4) To Green/PJ/DJJ/Exum, tough night to guard the best group of perimeter players, keep communication with each other in the whole night, when to switch, when to squeeze through the screen etc. They like to shoot 3 ball, be careful of that part. Dont back down too much, as they would have too space to shoot and get hot. If they get pass by you, trust Lively/Gafford to help, rotate back to the opposite C at time.

5) To Lively/Gafford, give them confidence, tell them you 2 are the strongest link we having when compared to BOS, not Luka/Kyrie. Show everything on the court, just go for block, or foul hard if necessary, dont afraid of the foul trouble. Fight for offensive rebound all the time, this at least can avoid fast break opportunities for BOS, be backbone of the defense, do communication. KP/Horford like to roll out more than roll in, take note of this. Play bully ball all the time, especially when BOS play small ball.

Final comment to the whole team, 100% effort is needed, and need to wear the start 5 down, and let BOS bench player to play more, then we have higher chance to win the game.

Mavs are following Suns lead and moving to broadcasting OTA, interesting move, local broadcasts are struggling financially, but this will have ramifications on the BRI if more teams follow suit.
