Cards Make Contact With Schilling

St. Louis Post-Dispatch - The Cardinals have made contact with the agent for 40-year-old free agent righthander Curt Schilling, who would come for appreciable money but only a one-year commitment.

"We're just laying the framework for the offseason," Mozeliak says. "You're meeting with clubs and touching base with agents. The action starts after the (free agent) market opens."

Looks like he just re-signed with the Sox for 8M with I think 5M in incentives which will mean he'll likely make 13M which is what I wanted to give him. Schilling was really the only FA starter I liked, oh well.
