Rays struggling

Post#1 » by craig01 » Sat Jun 19, 2010 12:01 am

The only constant this year has been the performance of the bullpen, which was expected to be the weak link.

Maddon continually changes the lineup for just about every game, the starting rotation gets little run support in tight games, but gives up runs when they do have support.

Upton batting .230.....and his flaw with his left foot while at bat stands uncorrected, Pena, Navarro, Bartlett all flirting with or have had miserable dry runs at the plate....leaving their averages in the low .200's ........combined with power outages, baserunning gaffes, and wickedly strange lineup decisions.

April through mid may was great.......but I think the constant changing of lineups and roles has to be messing with this club.

BTW- Rays started out 32-12 while Boston started out 11-17.

Boston is now on a 30-11 run.

AL East is a beast.
