Rays stay quiet at trade deadline

Post#1 » by craig01 » Sun Aug 1, 2010 1:38 pm

Rays only move was getting Chad Qualls and his 8.71 ERA.

Move might be OK, as Qualls has been a good bullpen guy over the years.

Especially since Grant Balfour is on the DL for likely 4-6 weeks.

Do you think the Rays have enough bats with Pena out to still get it done? Or will they be in alot of 2-1 games like last night?

The Rays bats have been hit or miss all year.

The true weakness of the club....too often they try to work the pitcher instead of being aggressive...and thus lead the AL in K's

Pena was finally hitting something besides hr's of late, so his absence will be missed...but especially on the defensive end.....he's phenomenal at 1B.
Basketball is driven by three principles:

1) Movement 2) Application of fundamentals 3) Predictability
