Rays vs Yanks

Post#1 » by craig01 » Mon Sep 13, 2010 11:17 pm

Tonight it's Price against Sabathia.

A win by either could have some ramifications towards winning the Cy Young.

Price is trying to become the first #1 overall pick ever to win 20 games.

Great pitching duel by Sabathia and Price highlighted by great defense in a playoff type intensity.

For awhile it brought back memories of some of the great match ups from the past....Koufax vs Marichal, Palmer vs Hunter.

Rays end a scoreless game in the bottom of the 11th on Brignac's home run.

Tonight is Garza vs Nova.....

What a great series that was won by the Rays in taking 2 of 3.

Great pitching performances, terrific defense by both teams, and all 3 games were nail biters.

More to come next week in NY.
