I hope we lose the rest of our games. This team is even worse at hitting than last year. Who tf is going to watch this garbage? Im already checked out

Schneider will be gone guy is clueless and not worth talking about

But Shapiro better have balls to fire his protegé Ross

Ross is just a mouthpiece, like Bobby. He runs every decision by Shapiro. Shapiro knows that firing Ross won't change anything, but he isn't going to fire himself.

Shapiro is not going anywhere. Ownership loves him. We dont know if Shapiro micromanages the baseball ops department (according to him on bob he said no) but who knows. He will have to find a new GM if this year continues like this.

I can't stand watching Shapiro talk. Did you see him in that interview with Bob McCown? Such arrogance! He always defends his team's actions, and it almost seems like they are okay with the status quo and that it's up to the players to turn things around. 9 years and counting. What have you shown for it Shatkins???

I thought for sure Guillermo would have been fired as a sort of scapegoat, while Mattingly was here the whole year last year, but nope.
The gm,s still waiting on our mgr,hc in training to figure it out lol, while they guide them lol,and already have an acceptable HC.
ClownOrg.
I,ve seen the show "High Heat" interview Atkins a few times. He sounds like a politician who doesn,t say anything, and thats never a good thing.Cant listen to either of them talk about things they now nothing about-AKA Baseball!

You only need a scapegoat if your own job is at risk. Shapiro's isn't.

Guillermo should have been let go straight up,and it could have been called either way....scapegoated or non scapegoated.
Noone would have complained.Noone would have batted an eye.
All anybody would have done is maybe ask Shapiro about it,and he would of had plenty of reason to justify it,and say how great it was to have Guillermo here in that b.s. politic speak manner.
Shapiro has a few people he can scapegoat or get rid of or whatever, if he wants to.He may start to feel his job being in jeopardy this season...hopefully.
I wouldn,t mind if he got rid of Atkins, and the mgr,and hc right now.At least there would be only one incompetent out of 4 left.
Someone else with influence has to grab Rogers ear about whats going on,and maybe that can speed up Shapiros exit.
If Vlad was the only guy who wasn,t hitting then I wouldn,t be mentioning Guillermo at all.
It would have shown at least they are doing something,or trying to something to show the fans they want to win.

At the 28 game mark it would be unusual to move on from some players.

A coaching change could be more imminent

This is what happens when your scrubs are your best hitters (Varsho, Clement, IKF, Biggio), with the exception of Justin Turner. How can you expect to win or score runs even, with your suppose best guys and highest paid guys, preforming like bottom of the order players.

Hopefully it'll turn around...But slow starts by Bo, Vlad, Springer, Kirk, (That's 4/9 of your hitting order, and couple that with regressing KK, and you have a lineup easy to pitch to.

Bro. Why do we do this to ourselves? Just finished watching the Leafs game and I actually feel physically sick. I know its a meme at this point but this city is actually Cursed. Two teams with generational talent up and down the roster and both only excel at self embarrassment and being the laughing stock of their respective league. Can someone explain to me why being a Toronto sports fan is so painful? What is it about this city that brings out the worst in our athletes? If not for that one in a billion hail Mary trade by Masai to bring Kawhi here I'm convinced we would not have experienced a championship in Toronto in our lifetime.

Scoring is certainly down this year.

Yet Teams scored 17, 16,15, 12, 11 today.
11 teams scored 6 or more (something we have not accomplished in 20 games)
We scored 2.

What does this mean. I don't know... whatever, our offence stinks.

At this point it might be better for the team to just keep losing. This team will have a really hard time even getting a WC spot. If we keep sucking until the trade deadline, hopefully that will trigger a fire sale. We have quite a few players (Vlad, Bo, Gausman, Bassitt, Berrios) that can get us some nice young prospects

If they have another stinker today, it would be an opportune time to make some moves. It should be clear what move I'd like to see. But honestly, I'm not sure it would be enough. At this point, I think you have to move on from the manager, GM, and analytics folks as well. I doubt Shapiro has it in him.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."
