If it gets to that point, I'm not sure I trust the management, analytic department to make those deals

At this point, I think you have to move on from the manager, GM, and analytics folks as well. I doubt Shapiro has it in him.

I'd start with the snake oil salesmen, Shapiro first. That mofo is responsible for this clamity. Main roster devoid of talent, minor league system in tatters, 4th highest payroll in baseball with putrid on field production, analytical nerds influencing every decision on the field. **** him.

Look at the players Atkins got back for Donaldson, Stroman, Osuna, Happ, etc. The Jays waited too long to trade them and then got pennies on the dollar. History seems like it might repeat itself here. Could have done something big this past winter with the core (Vlad or Bo), and none of the fans would have cared given how 2023 ended, and yet they just kept chugging along. Just like in 2017 when the team was clearly old and bad, and they decided to keep chugging along.

Long story short, if the Jays are sellers at the deadline, Atkins shouldn’t be the one doing it. Having to see fans gas up Thomas Pannone, Thomas Hatch, Anthony Kay, Jacob Waguespack, Billy McKinney, Forrest Wall, and so on, is not something I want to have to go through again.

Vlad picked off in the first inning for no reason at all, no repercussions

The idiot puppet manager is giving him a talk. I'm sure that'll do it after literally 5 seasons of the same mistake.

Yes, pat him on the back for a job well done you absolute red faced cretin of a manager! Jesus christ! No wonder this team is a clown show when you have your manager patting you on the back for not paying attention to the game and having constant mental lapses! Does anyone actually respect this moron?? Zero accountability for anything!!

Back to the top 3 in the order, so that'll do it for this inning

That was kind of a ridiculous play by Kirk

Kirk has done more positive in 3 innings, then he has in 200+ innings before this.

I pray Kirk can find his bat again because he's one of the best defensive catchers in baseball.
